ENVIRONMENT
Wildlife in the South Hams AONB is under extreme threat from Climate Change and loss of habitat. Without our concerted efforts to rebuild habitats in our gardens, farmlands, riverbanks and seashore - some species are tottering on the brink of extinction. Local action to monitor, rebuild and conserve our wildlife is of great importance and very rewarding. Nature wants to live, and will live, if we give it a chance.
SHARING KNOWLEDGE
If you want to find out if it possible to save money on household bills, enjoy sharing resources with neighbours and save carbon at the same time - then the Carbon Savers Club is for you!
CARBON SAVERS CLUB
CARBON SAVERS CLUB
All local parishes are welcome to the Memorial Hall i St Ann's Chapel on the first Thursday each month from 2nd Nov '22 to Aug' 23. Listen to a 15 minute video talk (from the Carbon Savers Course) on the monthly topic by Mukti Mitchell a world renowned carbon footprint expert. Receive a handout on the topic and get a feature article for your local magazine. Spend 45 minutes brainstorming with neighbours on local issues and what the community's next steps might be. Topic chapters from the Transition Streets Handbook will be available to help neighbours make a fun plan to share resources and make a difference to bills and carbon emissions.
