RENEWABLE ENERGY

Rapidly rising fossil fuel prices are accelerating fuel poverty and as yet having little impact on global consumption and carbon emissions.

Yealm Community Energy is a Community Benefit Society supported by five parish councils.  It owns  two large ground-based solar farms which reduce local fossil fuel use and shares £20,000 a year profit between the parishes.

COMMUNITY COMPOSTING

The Marsh Community Compost and Re-Use Centre in South Brent is supported by South Hams District Council.
